Sharing a lot of mechanical parts with the Jeep Renegade (both are made in Italy), the 2016 500X is the first Fiat crossover. With a Fiat 1.4 turbo and a 6-speed manual, or a 2.4 Chrysler 4-cylinder with a nine-speed  automatic and optional all-wheel-drive, the 500X can offer some foul weather security but no real off-road prowess (stick to its brother Renegade with the Trailhawk package for that). Offering fuel mileage in the 21-25 city/30-35 highway range, and a zero to 60 MPH time under nine seconds, the 500X isn't unlivable and offers cool features in a compact package.
