124 Spider
Fiat 124 Spider gets a few new colors, Special Red Top edition.
500
The 500 sees a significant refresh for 2018, including new fascias, grilles, bumpers and a spoiler. The new model now comes standard with a detuned 1.4 Turbo, 135 horsepower, compared to the Abarths 167-170 horsepower. The new bodywork on Pop and Lounge models is more similar to the Abarth. 15-inch wheels are discontiued, as 16-inch are now standard. The brakes from the previous Abarth are now standard on all models. Sadly, the super-tight 31.3-foot turning diameter is gone with the smaller tires: 37.6 feet is the new standard turning diameter, the same the Abarth has always been.
This is not an entirely new model: there was an intermediate "Turbo" model for a few years; now its back in the Pop (base) and Lounge.
A rear backup camera, previously unavailable is now standard.
Fog lights are now standard on all models. A spare tire is no longer offered, now that 16-inch wheels are standard.
Buyers of the 500 Abarth receive a free one-day high-performance driving school with Bob Bondurant, though they'll have to get there.
500e
Rear backup camera is now offered: standard.
No changes: still just available in California and Oregon.
The 500e does not get the same upgrades as the gasoline-powered 500.
500L
500L gets refreshed exterior with new wheels, grille front and rear fascias and lights.
Rear backup camera is now standard, so is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smart phone integration.
500X
Rear backup camera, voice control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smart phone integration is standard.
