Q50

2019 Infiniti Q50

A simplification of the lineup sees the elimination of the 2.0t LUXE and the HYBRID, leaving the 2.0t PURE, 3.0t LUXE, 3.0t SPORT, and RED SPORT 400. All are available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking are now standard on all models. Remote start now standard on Red Sport 400.

Q60

2019 Infiniti Q60 Coupe

The models are simplified greatly, with the elimination of the 3.0t Sport and the 2.0t engine gone completely. Models now: 3.0t Pure, 3.0t Luxe (both with 300 horsepower twin-turbo V6), and Red Sport 400 (with the 400-horsepower 3.0 twin turbo V6).

Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking are now standard on Luxe and Red Sport 400.

Q70

2019 Infiniti Q70

The Q70 Hybrid is discontinued, leaving only the Q70 3.7 V6 and 5.6 V8 models.

The Essential Package, a complimentary group of equipment including navigation, surround view monitor, front and rear parking sonar, leather seats, front ventilated seats, Bose stereo and a heated steering wheel, is all now standard equipment. This doesn't constitute much of a change, unless some hapless dealership ordered a Q70 last year without the free package.

Q70 is still available in standard and long wheelbase variants.

QX30

2019 Infiniti QX30

Trim levels are reshuffled: base model now called "Pure," Luxury called "Luxe," and Premium becomes "Essential." The Sport model retains its name.

Blind Spot Warning with Blind Spot Intervention is now standard on all trims; it will monitor the vehicle's rear quarter blind spot and steer back into the lane if you start to inpinge on a vehicle there. Forward Collision Warning with Forward Emergency Braking are also now standard.

Adaptive headlamps that follow curves as you steer are now standard in Sport and Essential models, previously they were optional on Sport and Premium (replaced by Essential).

Heated front seats are now standard on Sport.

Sirius/XM Satellite radio is now standard on all trims. Navigation is now optional on Luxe and standard on Sport and Essential.

Infiniti InTouch Services are now offered on QX30: optional on Luxe and standard on Sport and Essential. These are a suite of telematics that can contact emergency services automatically if an airbag deploys, unlock and lock the doors remotely or even star the car via a smartphone app.

Front and rear parking sensors and the Around View Monitor are now optional on Luxe. Homelink remote controls are standard on Luxe.

QX50

2019 Infiniti QX50 LA Auto Show reveal

The QX50 has been the wagon version of the Q50 since it has called the EX35 and the Q50 was the G35. No longer. The all-new QX50 is now based on a front-wheel drive chassis with available all-wheel drive.

The change that grabs all of the headlines is the QX50's new engine: the world's very first production variable compression ratio engine. This technology allows the use of a powerful turbocharger without decreasing the efficiency of the engine when it's running without boost. To TL;DR it: cruising around, the compression ratio is high to increase fuel mileage and efficiency (squoosh the gas more); floor it and the turbo kicks in and the compression ratio is lowered to prevent detonation inside the engine from the extra cylinder pressures. To be fair, if you're always flooring it, this engine will swill 91 octane like a 21-year-old at a bar on her birthday. But if you drive lightly it should get very good fuel mileage, but still have power when you need it. Power is down by 57 horsepower, to 268. Torque is up by 13 pound-feet.

Other mechanical changes include the swap of a continuously variable transaxle in place of the 7-speed dual-clutch automated gearbox, something enthusiats will lament, and a swap of the double-wishbone front suspension for MacPherson struts: ditto. Also, the front brakes are larger.

Fuel economy soars:

QX50 Fuel Mileage

The new QX50 is suprisingly only about 45 to 80 pounds lighter than its V6, rear-wheel drive predescessor. This, though the newer one rides on a 3.2 inch shorter wheelbase (110.2") and is exactly two inches shorter. The new QX50 is about three and a half inches taller and almost four inches wider; this translates into a lot more cargo capacity, 2.7 inches more front hip room, 4.2 inches more rear hip room, 2.3 inches more front headroom and 1.4 inches more rear headroom. Overall passenger space is up by 7.6 cubic feet and cargo space is up by 12.8 cubic feet (rear seats up).

On the outside new styling matches up better with the QX30. All LED headlights replace halogen as standard, with adaptive headlights optional on Essential and new high beam assist is also optional on Essential. Heated mirrors are no longer standard; they require the Essential trim level. A power liftgate is now offered, standard on Essential, and it comes with a kick-open hands-free feature. All windows now have automatic one-touch

On the inside, Essential offers optional tri-zone temperature control, where the rear passengers can control their temperature separate from either front seat.

New safety equipment includes standard pretensioners on the rear seatbelts (front, only in 2017), airbags for the driver and front passenger's knees. Forward collision warning and automatic braking is now standard.

QX60

2019 Infiniti QX60

The QX60 is now broken up into Pure and Luxe trim levels. (Is it freaking 1950, Infiniti dudes?!) Both of these is standard with the 3.5-liter V6 and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and a CVT (continuously variable transaxle).

In addition to "Pure" and "Luxe," a Limited package effectively adds a third trim level with blacked-out roof rails, a CHMSL (third brake light) with a clear lens, 20" dark wheels and a glossy black lower rear bumper. Also a "Limited" badge. Inside the Limited are black headliner, sun visors sun shades and trim on the side pillars along with unique stitching and dark wood trim. Ray Bans sold separately.

Memory driver's seat, steering wheel and side view mirrors are all standard on Luxe.

Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Path Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection are now all standard. Luxe models can add active intervention to Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning with intervention and Backup Collision Intervention.

QX80

2019 Infiniti QX80 Limited

A new Limited model is the top-of-the-line for 2019. Satin chrome roof rails, exterior trim, dark finished wheels, stainless steel running boards with rubber grips, quilted leather seating, illuminated door sill plates and matte silver ash wood trim are exclusive to the Limited and Anthracite Gray is a color unique to it. In addition to the "Limited" badges most extra cost equipment is standard on the Limited.

Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking (Autonomous Braking) with Pedestrian Detection are now standard on all models.
