Every Infiniti models available in an "Edition 30" version to celebrate 30 years of Infiniti. The unifying element is the "Edition 30" badge, but different models also get other features from the options list as part of the package, for instance, the QX80 Edition 30 gets 22-inch wheels, illuminated "Edition 30" front door sills, a Smart Rearview Mirror, Lane Departure Prevention, Intelligent Cruise Control and Blind Spot Intervention.

Two new trims have been added above "Pure," "Luxe," and "Essential": "Sensory" and "Autograph." The Autograph AWD gets an upgraded radiator and a transmission fluid cooler, allowing towing 3000 pounds, previously standard on the Essential. The controversial Direct Adaptive Steering is no longer offered on Essential, but is standard on Autograph and optional on Sensory; it includes "Easy Park Assist," an ultra-high boost to the steering assist to make parking maneuvers easier. The Autograph is the most luxurious, with exclusive semi-aniline leather, optional in white.

In the meantime, without explanation, the EPA has downgraded the fuel mileage ratings of the QX50 with its new, innovative variable compression ratio 2.0-liter turbo. New ratings are 23 city/29 highway MPG for front-wheel drive and 22 city/28 highway for all-wheel drive.

Numerous safety features have been made standard, including forward collision warning, forward emergency braking, rear parking sensors, rear automatic braking, blind spot warning,  rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning and automatic high beams. Traffic sign recognition is now optional.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard.

QX80 gets a new safety feature: Rear Door Alert. It monitors the rear door, and if it's opened before the start of a trip it alerts the driver to be sure to check the rear seat. Hundreds of children perish in a locked car each year when their caregivers forget them and this feature is designed to help prevent those deaths. Blind Spot Intervention, Lane Departure Prevention and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are all standard now.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are new to the QX80: both are standard.
