G70
The newest car from Genesis should seem somewhat familiar. The G70 is closely related to the acclaimed Kia Stinger. The primary differences between the two:
• G70 is a sedan while the Stinger is a 5-door hatchback.
• G70 offers a manual transmission for the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine variant. The Stinger is automatic, only.
The G70 is designed to compete with the BMW 3 Series. As such it provides a 252-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo (255 with available 6-speed manual), an 8-speed automatic and optional all-wheel-drive (automatic transmission, only). The optional engine is a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 with 365 horsepower. Both of these figures surpassed the 2018 3 Series, but the 2019 3 Series has a few more ponies. The 2.0 turbo with automatic transmission has standard automatic engine start/stop.
Active safety features are standard: a driver alertness warning, forward collision warning and autonomous braking, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist, blind spot warning and rear cross-path warning. In addition it has the usual frontal airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags, airbag curtain and a driver's knee airbag. Stability control, anti-lock brakes are of course standard.
Smart cruise control with stop and go is also standard, which together with the Lane Keep Assist should make commuting easier. The Smart Cruise Control is not available with the manual transmission.
The G70 is available in trims from 2.0T Advanced, 3.3T Advanced, 2.0T Elite, 3.3T Elite, 2.0T Prestige, 3.3T Prestige, 2.0T Dynamic, 3.3T Dynamic, 2.0T Sport, 2.0T Sport Manual, 3.3T Sport, 3.3T Design Edition and 3.3T Dynamic Special Edition.
Heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, memory seats and mirrors, power tilt and telescoping steering wheel and navigation are all available. Strangely, a heated steering wheel is only offered on all-wheel drive models; it's standard.

A Sport Package for the base 3.8-liter V6 model borrows from the 3.3T Sport, visually. Copper center caps for the wheels and sport bumpers, dual exhaust tips and darkened chrome around the windows and grille add a sporty flair and the 3.3T's 19-inch wheels complete the package.
All models receive a new, standard 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
